BIO
Jonathan Lee Johnson started playing bass at age 21. Being from New Orleans and with two older siblings that played from young, Joe and Joshua, he was constantly exposed to music of different genres growing up. At 22 he dedicated himself full time to music.
While playing in church Jonathan developed his own style by studying various bassists. Eventually getting the privilege to perform with gospel artists like Jonathan Nelson and William Murphy.
Jonathan is now touring internationally with Tank and the Bangas, 2017 NPR Tiny desk winners.
“It’s been nothing short of a blessing. I just pray to keep growing on my musical journey.”
