Matt Ramsey was discovered by Andrew Gouche, legendary bassist and mentor, introducing Matt to the world during his performance w/ Chaka Kahn playing bass guitar at the age of 12. Since that time Matt has continued to impress professional and aspiring musicians of all ages with his limitless potential.

Music has always been apart of life growing up with musicians as family in St. Louis, Missouri. Since relocating to Dallas, Texas Matt has been exposed to the best in Gospel, Hip Hop, Jazz, and RnB causing him to develop his skill into a thriving career.

Matt credits his sound to his father and teacher, Butch Ramsey. By the age of 8 Matt received his first bass guitar and began playing fluently evolving into one of the most sought after musicians to date.

At the age of 21, he is recording and touring with Grammy Award Winning artist, Kirk Franklin and performed with Multi award winning artists such as Erykah Badu, N'Dambi, Eric Benet, Zo!, Tamela Mann, Israel Houghton, & Marvin Sapp and members of Snarky Puppy.

Matt hopes to be as creative and influential as his mentors Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten. With strong dedication, determination, and discipline Matt will achieve at the highest levels in music. He continues to build a network of epic proportion as a member of the #7Summers Band lead by 7X Grammy Awarding Winner Shaun Martin, Sputnik lead by 6x Grammy Winner Robert 'Sput' Searight, and RC & The Gritz lead by Grammy Nominated musician RC Williams earning him the endorsement of Labella Strings and Gallien Kruger Amplifiers. Matt's future goals include recording his first album and touring the world with his own band.
